Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians for our Maintenance department with opportunities available on both 2nd and 3rd shifts. The role involves performing electrical functions, including maintenance and repair of machines and electrical systems in our plant. As we transition to technology and automation, technicians will play a crucial role in replacing current paper-based and manual operations. Adherence to safety policies and procedures is paramount as you perform electrical duties associated with the construction, installation, and repairs of plant equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical services to ensure continuous and reliable operation of plant equipment.

  • Install new electrical services to equipment and complete all assigned preventative maintenance.

  • Utilize established lockout/tag procedures during electrical duties and/or testing, and when operating or attending equipment.

  • Maintain good housekeeping in the maintenance shop area and perform clean-up after each maintenance job throughout the facility.

  • Perform other duties as directed by supervision.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.

  • Experience with mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.

  • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting.

  • Experience with 480v/3 phase systems.

  • Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and schematics.

  • Knowledge of bearings, belt chains, rollers, boilers, and chillers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic schematics.

  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated electrical experience.

  • Experience working with contactors, sensors, relays, and stop/start circuits is preferred.

Work Environment

The facility comprises three departments: Extrusion, Finishing, and Mixing, with equipment such as extrusion lines, chillers, boilers, and conveyors. It is a union shop, though this role is non-union. The facility contains older machines and is non-climate controlled. Work shifts are 2nd shift from 4pm to 12am and 3rd shift from 12am to 8am, with a $1.50 shift differential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bellefontaine, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $65187.00/hr.
