Network Cable Technicians needed in the Tupelo, MS area - Step Into the Future of Connectivity
Schedule : Core hours 7am to 3:30pm but this can vary by worksite | Pay: $21–$27/hr (based on experience)
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the technology industry to hire an experienced Network Cable Technician who is ready to make an immediate impact.

Role Summary
As a Network Cable Technician, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot critical network and security infrastructure. Your work will ensure reliable connectivity, strong security systems, and seamless technology performance for clients within a 60-mile radius of Tupelo.
You will play a vital role in building and maintaining the backbone of modern communication systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Installation & Infrastructure
Install and terminate structured cabling systems (including Cat6A).
Test and certify cabling using a Fluke Cat6A tester.
Install and configure network hardware components.
Install Axis IP cameras.
Install Algo IP paging horns and speakers.
Perform access control installations, including:
Electric strikes
Card readers
Motion detectors
Door contacts
Troubleshooting & Support
Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues.
Identify and correct hardware and software problems.
Ensure network performance and security standards are maintained.
Provide on-site technical support and issue resolution.
Project Details
Report to Tupelo-area projects within a 60-mile radius.
Typical hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (may vary by job site).
Phone interview required.
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of hands-on experience in network cabling and installation.
Strong knowledge of structured cabling installation and jack termination.
Experience troubleshooting network systems.
Proficiency using a Fluke Cat6A tester.
Experience installing Axis IP cameras and Algo IP paging systems.
Access control installation experience (electric strikes, card readers, motion detectors, door contacts).
Ability to work independently at project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with routers, switches, and firewalls.
Knowledge of network security best practices.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Professional communication skills.

Pay Details: $21.00 to $27.00 per hour
