Amergis Speech Language Pathologist | Belchertown, MA in Belchertown, Massachusetts
Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a School in Belchertown, MA who is currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to work with students on a contractual basis.
Details of the Position Include:
Pay Rate: up to $75.00/hour
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 18 weeks
Schedule: Monday– Friday, 32.5 hours /week
Requirements:
IN-PERSON SLP for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year, with the potential for ESY and next year if we aren't able to direct hire.
Total Caseload - 57 students (shared with an SLPA) • 5 students considered non-verbal/minimal verbal/AAC users • 4 of those students have a weekly cotreat with our OT/AT provider in addition to regular speech sessions • 1 student has a stutter • 1 student has apraxia
Anticipating 17 evaluations during the remainder of the year (3 with consents already signed, 6 due for reevaluation, 3 with evals being moved up, 5 anticipated referrals)
Anticipating approximately 35 IEP meetings in the remainder of the year (annuals and evaluations)
Requirements:
Ideal candidate will have experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum and will be willing to cotreat with our OT/AT
Will need to sign off on SLPA Progress reports (end-of-year) and medicaid notes/billing

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician's orders.
Minimum Requirements:
Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
