Sigma Defense is currently seeking a Software Quality Assurance Tester to join our team! The Software Test Engineer will support the PdM Mission Network and PdM Network Modernization programs by ensuring rigorous testing standards and compliance with requirement traceability. This role is central to developing, executing, and reporting on test procedures that directly impact mission success and customer satisfaction.

Requirements
10+ years of Software Test Engineering experience.
5+ years in the Department of Defense contracting market of major weapon systems product development and acquisitions.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST), International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certification) are preferred.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with developers and stakeholders.
Experience obtaining customer feedback and translating it into actionable recommendations.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an unspecified field of study.
Industry certifications and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Personnel Clearance Level:
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):
Write and deliver monthly reports on testing procedures and results to support client-driven software development.
Troubleshoot software, devise innovative solutions, and document resolutions for knowledge sharing.
Implement test procedures for vendor applications (Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba) to ensure compliance with specifications prior to government witness testing.
Identify integration issues and vulnerabilities, report findings, and provide improvement recommendations for future system design.
Develop Master Test Plans, Software Test Plans, Test Descriptions, and Test Reports to meet CMMI Level 3 requirements.
Collaborate with the Software Development team to align products with customer needs and requirements.
Design and execute manual and automated tests (white box, black box, gray box) to evaluate quality, speed, and functionality.
Convert manual test cases into automated cases using PowerShell and VBS.
Salary Range: $87,000 - $134,000 annually.
