About the role The Wastewater Technician I is an entry level position responsible tosafelyperform the following fundamental tasks: waste streamsampling, waste stream QA/QC,off-loading tanker trucks via hose connection/removaland valvesmanagementalong withbenchtesting, and waste stream treatment PositionResponsibilities Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power toolsin accordance withcompany policies and procedures as well asRegulatory awareness of OSHA,DOTand RCRA Regulations. Perform basic chemical analysisas assigned (pH,flash point, FOG, solids, and ammonia). Assistand/or manage the offloading of waste streams and chemical treatment products. Connecting hosesfor loading/unloading oftanker trucks. Perform cleanings of wastewater process equipment as assigned Monitor the operation of all wastewater processing equipment. Maintain the operational performance of the wastewater equipment. Identifyand report operating anomalies to the Operations Supervisor or Maintenance Department. Direct andassistwith the operation of the sludgetransfer and dewatering systems. Submit all associated paperwork, as required, for regulatory andsafety record keeping requirements. Maintain a clean work area. Other duties as assignedand may beincludebut not limited to chemical transfer and bulk transfer of material. Required Qualifications Oneplus years' experience Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred. WastewaterExperience preferred. Experience inprograms likeMicrosoft and electronic tracking program experience. Physical Demands of the Role Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb Ability to lift/carry 50lbs Qualify to wear a full-face respirator Consistently work in various weather conditions In addition to salary, this roleis eligible for benefits.
