HOW
YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
The Mechanical Technician to manufacture precision mechanical products and subassemblies. This role focuses on mechanical assembly ensuring components are built to specification and meet strict quality and cosmetic standards.
You will work from product specifications, blueprints, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to produce high-quality assemblies. The role involves inspecting parts, monitoring output for quality, and maintaining required production records. You will follow established guidelines for safety, material handling, and use of protective gear. A Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining company-owned toolboxes and for maintaining a neat and orderly work cell and common work areas. Reports to Supervisor of Manufacturing and Production.
This position requires safety shoes and shielded safety glasses.

WHAT
SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Set up, operate, and maintain mechanical assembly and production equipment.
Assemble and align components according to blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions.
Perform inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy, quality, and cosmetic standards are met.
Troubleshoot and report any inconsistencies or equipment issues.
Maintain accurate records of production activities and quality checks.
Follow established safety guidelines, ensuring a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and continuously improve processes.
Periodically assist in training and mentoring lower-level technicians.

WHAT
YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
High School/Trade School diploma and 2-4 years of related mechanical assembly experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with assembly tools such as torque wrenches, presses, gauges, and calipers.
Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Commitment to quality, precision, and continuous improvement.
Safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
