Join a growing fabrication team as a saw operator, where you ll be responsible for setting up and operating band saws to cut and trim quality parts for fabrication projects. This is a great opportunity for someone with heavy manufacturing experience who enjoys hands-on, detailed work in a team-focused environment. Location: Becker, MN Wage: $20 $24/hr. Hours: Monday Friday, 7:00 am 3:30 pm Benefits of the saw operator position: Full-time, long-term opportunity Overtime available Growth opportunities in a fabrication shop setting Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid time off and holidays Duties of the saw operator position: Set up and operate band saws to cut, slot, groove, miter, and trim parts to specifications Select and install blades, adjust speed, feed rate, and blade tension Secure workpieces using guides, stops, fixtures, and measuring devices Mark materials with reference lines based on drawings or templates Mount and secure workpieces manually or with a hoist Perform sawing operations and verify dimensions using measuring tools Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and sketches Maintain a safe and clean work environment Requirements of the saw operator position: Experience in steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment Prior saw operating experience in heavy manufacturing Knowledge of trade tools, equipment, and safe band saw operation techniques Experience with overhead cranes and proper lifting procedures Ability to stand, walk, lift, stoop, kneel, bend, and climb throughout the shift Will have to provide and wear proper PPE (hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes) Strong sense of urgency and attention to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Additional Information: Apply today!
