A leading consulting and project services firm is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support construction activities for a large, technically complex capital program. This role is integral to our esteemed cost management and estimating group, which assists clients with budgeting, cost planning, procurement strategy, and financial controls for advanced technology projects.
Responsibilities
Develop new and enhance existing procurement processes to support a best-in-class procurement framework.
Create advanced Excel-based tools to improve consistency, reporting, and decision-making across a multi-site project portfolio.
Partner with contract and cost managers to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting to senior stakeholders.
Support end-of-month reporting, reconciliation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Present, train, and onboard new team members on procurement tools and processes.
Procure equipment and services in support of active construction projects.
Review, evaluate, and administer change orders on live projects.
Support additional project and procurement initiatives as required.
Essential Skills
Strong understanding of procurement best practices and multiple contracting methodologies.
Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, dashboards, conditional formatting, and data analysis tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with senior project and client leadership.
Experience supporting cost, contract, or procurement functions on complex construction projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical), Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
5+ years of experience supporting large capital or industrial construction projects.
Exposure to regulated or high-reliability environments (e.g., life sciences, energy, advanced manufacturing).
Familiarity with estimating or takeoff software is a plus.
Work Environment
Hybrid or remote working options are available depending on location and experience, with monthly trips to regional offices. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $52.88/hr.
