As a National Security Solutions – Model Based Systems Engineering Intern, you will:
Create a vetted set of SysML patterns, stereotypes, and examples that map to common USAF acquisition documents to shorten “time-to-first-model” for pursuits and new awards.
Expand model-based artifact generation from system models
Deliver a Cameo project with patterns for acquisition document such as:
Capability Development Document (CDD)
System Requirement Document (SRD)
Statement of Work (SOW)
Life-Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP)
Systems Engineering Plan (SEP)
Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)
Provide a short how‑to guide and two quick-start example models
Package as a reusable Teamwork Cloud (TWC) library
Selected interns for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience and establish a name for themselves in this high demand career field.
Required Skillset:
Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or Technical Related field.
Introductory skills in SysML/Cameo
Experience with model organization or architecture frameworks
Proficient in requirements management concepts
Proficient in Git
Awareness of DoD Acquisition Documentation
Strong work ethics and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Scheduled Weekly Hours: Average 40 hours per week, 10 weeks in duration during the period of Summer 2026
Requirement:
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
Internship will be at the Beavercreek KBR office with the potential for some remote/hybrid work.
