H B NEILD AND SONS INC Lead Applicator - Beaumont in Beaumont, Texas

H.B. Neild is looking for highly motivated, experienced Lead Applicator to join the best construction team in Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana.

As a Powder Coater/Applicator for H.B. Neild, you will be expected to work safely and in the most professional manner possible to deliver a high quality product for our commercial and industrial clients.

Common daily tasks for Lead Applicators include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare parts for coating through cleaning, masking, blasting, sanding, and proper racking or hanging.
  • Apply powder coatings using electrostatic spray equipment to achieve correct film thickness, coverage, and appearance.
  • Operate curing ovens and monitor cure times and temperatures.
  • Inspect coated parts for quality, defects, and compliance with specifications.
  • Adjust equipment and application techniques as needed to maintain consistent results.
  • Read and follow work orders, job travelers, drawings, and coating specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of spray booths, guns, ovens, and related equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality control procedures.
  • Assist with material handling and other production tasks as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in powder coating, industrial painting, or coatings application preferred.
  • High Volume, Low Pressure (HVLP) experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of surface preparation methods and coating processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and safety data sheets (SDS).
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work in a team environment.
  • Industrial/Automotive painting a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a hot, industrial environment
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators

Work Environment

  • Industrial coating facility with exposure to heat, dust, noise, and chemicals
  • Use of spray booths, curing ovens, and material handling equipment
