Job Title: Construction Operating Foreman - Utilities / Grading
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Site Lead to organize and lead a crew in a safe and productive manner. This role involves tracking production, maintaining a clean job site, and working closely with the Site Superintendent.
Responsibilities
Organize and lead a crew in a safe and productive manner.
Track production and complete paperwork daily.
Maintain a clean and tidy job site.
Lead by example and teach the crew along the way.
Relay production goals to the crew and hold them accountable to meet them.
Work closely with the Site Superintendent.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience managing a heavy equipment operating crew.
Ability to run multiple pieces of equipment such as Excavator, Dozer, Track Hoe, and Grader at the highest level.
Experience with GPS systems like Trimble and TopCon.
Strong leadership abilities and great interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
HEO experience.
Experience leading a crew without necessarily having Superintendent experience.
No special certifications or medical requirements.
Provide own PPE: Boots, Vest, Hard Hat, and gloves.

Work Environment
All work is local to the Beaufort/Bluffton market with no travel required. The work week typically consists of 50 hours, weather permitting, and involves working outside in all weather conditions, including cold and extreme heat. A strong emphasis is placed on promoting a safe work environment. The company was initially family-owned and still values a tight-knit team atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaufort, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $32.00/hr.
