This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

Summary:
HII Mission Technologies is currently seeking a UNIX/Windows System Administrator to support our work at Beale AFB, CA. The U‑2 enterprise relies on secure, resilient, and continuously available information systems to execute some of the Air Force’s most demanding ISR missions. Your expertise ensures that both classified and unclassified systems remain operational, protected, and ready to support global operations around the clock.

What You Will Do:
System Administration & Continuity
Ensure continuous availability of classified and unclassified UNIX and Windows systems
Provide daily system administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting support
Sustain operating capability across servers, workstations, and virtualized environments
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across hybrid infrastructures
Support users with system access, configuration, and technical assistance
Maintain secure, compliant, and mission‑ready IT environments
Project Support & Implementation
Assist with technical project development and implementation
Support system upgrades, enhancements, and modernization initiatives
Collaborate with team members to integrate new capabilities into existing environments
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate system documentation and configuration records
Ensure compliance with DoD, Air Force, and security directives
Support audit readiness and system security requirements
What We're Looking For:
6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
Previous experience as a System Administrator in a hybrid Windows/UNIX environment
CompTIA Security+ CE (or higher) in accordance with DoD 8570.01‑M
Strong foundational knowledge of troubleshooting hardware and software infrastructures
Active TS/SCI clearance
Valid passport
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Experience with license managers in Windows and UNIX environments
Scripting, coding, or programming experience (Java, .NET, or similar)
High‑Performance Computing (HPC) experience
