JOB SUMMARY
• Perform work in a collaborative environment involving the operation of multiple laboratory instruments.
• Run experiments following procedures and collecting analytical data
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
• Maintain lab safety, housekeeping, and security.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Calculates, analyzes, and interprets data, properly documents results.
• Maintain DIAMS requirements relating to data generation.
• Prepare liquid calibration standards. Perform calibration, SQC for data accuracy to ensure proper compliance with guidelines.
• Upkeep inventory and update P&IDs drawings as necessary.
• Good skills in safe handling of many types of hydrocarbons.
• Interface with Ph.D. Chemists daily.
• Assist with training analytical techniques to new technicians.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• A Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline and relevant work experience
• Capable of safe, reliable, and independent laboratory work given framing of problem and regular direction
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to learn new techniques as needed
• Ability to read and follow detailed instructions
• Concern for accuracy and precision
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal
• Strong Excel experience, capable of interfacing with advanced computer software
