Actalent Data Engineer in Bayport, Minnesota

Job Title: Data EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to analyze and visualize Windows product data in support of engineering, operations, and business teams. This role involves building and maintaining data pipelines, evaluating data quality, and developing applications to enhance data accuracy and usability.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and visualize Windows product data to support engineering, operations, and business teams.

  • Build and maintain data pipelines, queries, and datasets for reporting and product information workflows.

  • Evaluate data quality issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and support corrective actions.

  • Translate product or process requirements into structured data models and usable datasets.

  • Develop lightweight applications, scripts, or automations to improve data accuracy, efficiency, or usability.

  • Support enhancements to product information databases and related systems (PLM, ERP, MES, etc.).

  • Collaborate with engineering to test, validate, and deploy new features or system improvements.

  • Document processes, workflows, and tool usage for internal teams.

  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to understand their data needs and provide solutions.

  • Assist in maintaining consistent product data across systems and processes.

  • Participate in initiatives that enhance digital workflows or data governance.

  • Communicate technical findings and recommendations in formats suitable for mixed technical audiences.

  • Prepare data summaries, reports, dashboards, and visualizations.

  • Create clear documentation for datasets, scripts, system configurations, or training guides.

  • Communicate progress, risks, and data trends to stakeholders.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in data analysis with tools such as C#, Microsoft Excel, and ERP systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • 2–5 years of experience with technical product data, manufacturing data, or enterprise systems.

  • Experience with data analysis and engineering using SQL, Python, Power BI.

  • Ability to translate technical concepts between engineering teams.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and comfort working with complex datasets.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP or product data systems.

Work Environment

You will work in a collaborative environment, partnering with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams. This role involves utilizing advanced data analysis tools and requires effective communication across various technical teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Bayport, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
