The Walt Disney Company Site Reliability Engineer in Bay Lake, Florida
At Disney Experiences Technology, our team creates world-class immersive digital experiences for the Company’s premier vacation brands including Disney’s Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club.
We are responsible for the security of end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!
This role sits in the US Parks organization and works closely with all Disney Experience Brands and Products from across the company.
About The Role & Team:
The Edge Security team supports more than 4000 teams worldwide supporting new product launches, brands announcements, key events, and ongoing Edge Security
Our team is dispersed over multiple locations to allow for support of our worldwide partners and brands.
Work closely with our Global Information Security teams to insure compliance to corporate standards, fulfilment of audit requests, and alignment of Disney Experiences brands to Disney Security standards.
What You'll Do:
Participate in launch readiness to ensure applications are secure prior to critical periods.
Assist with designing, building, and supporting products platforms
Collaborate with development teams to insure the most secure and supportable outcome for our brands.
Systems administration skills on the Akamai focusing on KONA Site Defender, WAF configurations, and Bot Manager Premier
Support platforms and bring knowledge on operational excellence and application stability, security, performance, operational excellence and application stability.
You will be encouraged to stay up to date with emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of related work experience
Proficient in an agile environment
Experience with Akamai’s Bot Manager Premier, WAF, and KONA Site Definer products
Familiarity with commercial and open-source monitoring platforms
Demonstrated proficiency in Splunk and App-Dynamics
Skilled in code management, configuration, and deployment tools like GitHub
Experience with Ansible, Chef, Microservices, Restful APIs
Knowledgeable in Cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Applying security best practices to application and infrastructure
Proficient in modern code-management practices for collaboration
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with high demand releases and brands
PCI audit and standards experience
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
