GHC is currently hiring: Finish Carpenter
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide help and support to areas in the finish end including Siding, Window, Cabinet, Interior/Exterior doors and trim areas.
- Be or become familiar with the job duties and functions in each area.
- Ensure proper use of material and tools, and promote safe working environment in all areas
- Ensure structures are being built up to GHC quality standards, construction requirements, adhere to the fastening schedule, and manufacturers installation instructions
- Install kitchen and bath cabinets, shelving and interior doors
- Install Crown mold and trim for doors, windows and baseboards
- Install fixtures and hardware such as door handles, locks, hinges, closures and faucets
- Assist with leveling and installation of windows
- Assist with installation of exterior doors
- Assist with installation of siding and accessories
- Assist with installation of electrical fixtures
- Suggest necessary adjustments and clarifications to procedures, when necessary
- Adhere to and promote company policies, procedures, and decisions
- Work with the Team Leaders on problem resolutions
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance in accordance with company attendance policies
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints (engineering prints)
- Must have basic math skills and a working knowledge of common math used in the construction trade
- General construction knowledge (modular process)
- Must be able to communicate with employees, Team Leaders and senior management both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to multi-task
- Strong grasp of the tasks performed in the designated Finish End areas
- Have an overall good job performance including productivity, attitude, attendance, and adherence to company policy and procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
