Job Duties:
This Student Worker position will perform Contract Administration duties including construction field inspection, materials testing, preparation of project documentation, and related work as required. Positions will start mid-May, working with school schedules, and run approximately 3-months. May have possible opportunity to continue employment through construction season.
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify for Student Worker Paraprofessional applicants must meet all the following:
Applicants must be enrolled in a college, university, trade, or technical school in the next three (3) months in Architectural, Civil Tech, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Surveying program or related program.
Students must be enrolled in six (6) semester or nine (9) quarter credits; or for a non-credit granting institution, two (2) or more classes per semester/quarter.
Applicants will be asked to complete an Education Verification form prior to appointment.
Successful applicant resumes must also demonstrate all the following:
Applicants must include an anticipated graduation/completion date on their resume.This information is needed to determine eligibility.
Valid Class D Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to understand technical documents and follow instructions.
Knowledge and application of advanced mathematics including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
Knowledge of computer software used in testing and design work and ability to use windows based operating systems.
