Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team in Simpang Ampat, Malaysia. In this role, you will lead and oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring high-quality production while maintaining safety standards and driving continuous improvement.
Lead and manage the manufacturing team to meet production targets, quality standards, and customer requirements
Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize productivity and reduce costs
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the production area
Monitor and maintain a high standard of 6S and ESD practices in the manufacturing environment
Collaborate with other departments to resolve production issues and improve overall efficiency
Analyze production data and implement cost-saving strategies and techniques
Coach and mentor team members to foster a high-performing and motivated workforce
Oversee the maintenance of manufacturing equipment and facilities
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects
Manage inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain to ensure timely material availability
Prepare and present regular performance reports to upper management
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing supervision or production management
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles
Proficiency in 6S methodology and ESD production environment practices
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Experience in implementing cost-saving strategies and continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and in a Class 1K cleanroom environment
Proficient in standard business application software (Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, MES)
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing
Preferred:
Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
Experience in automation framework development and implementation
Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and smart manufacturing technologies
