Advantage Sintered Metals, Inc Tumbler Operator (Entry-Level Production) in Battle Creek, Michigan
JOB OVERVIEW:
Tumbler Operators load, operate, and unload vibratory finishing machines (tumblers). They also dry and package parts. Tumbler Operator will use lift trucks for moving and loading parts and racks.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Removing tumbling media from the tumbler bowls, cleaning the tumbler bowls, and recharging them with the correct media.
- Run finished parts through the dryer.
- Carry out visual checks of parts prior to packaging.
- Weigh parts and maintain verifiable counts.
- May be assigned additional responsibilities such as steam-treating, oil-dipping, and relief on the furnaces.
- Will conduct basic maintenance on machines as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift 25-45 pounds on a regular basis throughout a 10-hour shift.
- Must be responsible, organized, self-motivated, and able to work with little supervision.
- Must have the ability to write accurately and legibly.
