Job description:

All of the positions at Tonys Seafood require that employees demonstrate excellent customer service and process customer orders accurately. Teamwork and the ability to handle a large workload and in fast-paced environment are also key skills that we ask of our employees. All employees must show a willingness to take instructions from management. In addition, all employees are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and co-workers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and customer satisfaction, providing high-quality deli products in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve deli items, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Engage with customers to provide excellent service, including upselling products and answering inquiries.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the deli area, including bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
  • Follow all food handling guidelines to ensure the safety of our customers.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the food industry or quick service and fast-food restaurant preferred.
  • Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices is essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Employees are required to stand and walk for extended periods of time, handle food and cooking/serving utensils, and work in walk-in coolers and freezers, as well as a hot kitchen environment, and some jobs require lifting loads of up to 50 pounds.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Cooking: 5 year (Preferred)
  • Restaurant Experience: 5 year (Preferred)
