Aerotek Assembler - Finishing in BATAVIA, Ohio
Assembler Openings - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts!
Responsibilities
Measure and position sheet metal pieces, typically 10–15 feet in length, accurately into place according to blueprints and shop drawings.
Perform small tack welds to temporarily secure sheet metal components until welders complete the final welds.
Button, bolt, and glue various items and hardware onto the final product as specified in drawings and work instructions.
Add and secure components to metal enclosures, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and function.
Touch up paint on finished products to correct minor imperfections and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively throughout the assembly and finishing process.
Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings to understand dimensions, layouts, and assembly requirements.
Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and completeness, making adjustments as needed.
Collaborate with welders and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical assemblies.
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.
Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools in an assembly or similar environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and specifications closely.
Capability to work safely in a manufacturing setting around large metal components and equipment.

This is a Contract position based out of BATAVIA, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
