Duties Description Roles & Responsibilities• Customer Engagement: Welcome visitors, assist with check-ins, and guide individuals to the appropriate staff or department based on their needs.• Front-Line Support: Answer phones, help route inquiries, and provide timely responses to common customer requests.• Resource Room Assistance: Support customers with resumes, job applications, and navigation of workforce tools (e.g., VCC, InterviewStream, Coursera, Northstar).• Digital Literacy Coaching: Provide basic computer and technology assistance, including email setup, online applications, and job search platforms.• Workshop & Event Support: Assist with scheduling, sign-ups, marketing, and facilitation of in-person and virtual workshops, job fairs, and recruitments.• Project Work: Contribute to initiatives such as developing SharePoint/Microsoft Forms

Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• Be 18 years of age or older• Be actively enrolled in a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State*• Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a longer period may qualify part-time students for participation in the program), or be a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program• Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or the letter grade equivalentPreferred Skill sets:Customer ServiceDegree Concentrations Requested:• Business Administration• Communications Studies• Human Resources• Liberal Arts• Public Administration• Social Science
