Job Title: Mechanical Assembler/Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler/Technician where you'll be working on light and small duty vans and trucks, including HVAC trucks and small delivery vans. This role involves installation and wiring, building shelves, occasional 12v electrical work, and the use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Work on light and small duty vans and trucks, such as HVAC trucks and small delivery vans.

  • Perform installation and wiring tasks.

  • Build shelves in the shop.

  • Occasionally engage in 12v electrical work.

  • Utilize hand and power tools as needed.

  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and maintain a good attitude.

  • Help out wherever needed within the team.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly.

  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

  • Ability to consistently lift 50+ lbs.

  • Proven reliability and coachability.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with electrical work, particularly 12v systems.

  • Experience with sit-down forklift operations.

  • Experience in installation and wiring.

Work Environment

Work in a newly acquired facility located in Batavia, IL, designed for truck readiness. Join a close-knit team of 3 employees, part of a nationwide network of 18 employees across 3 locations. The facility operates from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, in a collaborative and supportive setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Batavia, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
