Aerotek Machine Maintenance Technician in Bastrop, Texas

Machine Maintenance Technician

Direct Hire | Bastrop, TX

Pay: $28–$40/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: 4 days per week, 12‑hour shifts

• Day shift: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Night shift: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment when issues arise

  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life

  • Maintain PCB and electronics assembly machines, including:

  • SMT (surface mount) equipment

  • Conveyors and ovens

  • Test chambers and vacuum systems

  • Diagnose problems using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics

  • Safely lock out/tag out equipment before completing repairs

  • Use meters, gauges, and hand/power tools to test and calibrate systems

  • Read blueprints and diagrams to identify and resolve equipment issues

  • Document repairs, maintenance activities, and service reports

  • Partner with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability

  • Support root‑cause analysis and recommend long‑term solutions

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience

  • Hands‑on experience with PCB or electronics assembly equipment

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints

  • Mechanical and electrical repair experience in a production environment

  • Familiarity with PLC controls and ladder logic for diagnostics

  • Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience in advanced electronics or PCB manufacturing

  • Lean Manufacturing or root‑cause analysis experience

  • IPC certifications

  • Exposure to automation and complex industrial systems

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
