Job Description
QA Advisor – The QA Advisor is responsible for ensuring that all project activities are executed in compliance with approved quality standards, project specifications, and applicable codes. The role includes overseeing the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) on site and supporting project teams to achieve quality objectives for Projects in Majnoon.
Support and promote project HSSE requirements within QA/QC activities on site. QA Advisor will
reports to the Project Quality Lead and has a reporting line to the Quality Assurance Discipline Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assists with the Implementation of the Project Quality Management System (PQMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and contract requirements. Supports and the implement the project quality requirements in accordance with the PQP and contract Monitoring and verifying construction activities (Mechanical, Welding, Coating, etc.) to ensure compliance with project requirements. Reviewing and approving quality plans, procedures, method statements, and inspection and test plans (ITPs). Conducting site inspections, audits, and surveillance of contractors and subcontractors. Coordinating with project teams, contractors, and clients on quality-related matters. Identifying non‑conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented, and tracking close‑out. Supporting handover documentation and final quality dossiers. Promoting a quality culture and continuous improvement on site. Review Contractor QAQC plans, ITPs and procedures to ensure compliance with quality contract requirements Assist with supplier /contractor management to ensure quality of supplier /contractor practices, product and suitability of inspection and test programs; Substantiate the conformance of products. Identify and document any problems on the product conformity and where needed initiate, recommend, approve, or provide solutions to non-conformance and verify implementation of solutions and corrective action; Manage actions and non-conformance tracking databases and validate adequate investigation, follow-up and corrective actions are implemented; Ensure all material arrived on site are inspected against MTC and any inspection issues are recorded in the OSDR log. Identify quality risks at site level, support development of mitigation measures, and ensure risks are reviewed and updated throughout project execution. Verify competency, certification validity, and authorization of QA/QC and inspection personnel deployed by contractors and subcontractors. Develop, monitor, and analyze quality KPIs (NCR trends, rework rates, audit findings, first‑time acceptance rates) and report performance to Project Management and Client. Review and provide QA input on technical deviations, waivers, concessions, and management of change (MoC) to ensure impacts on quality and compliance are assessed and controlled. Verify quality readiness prior to system or area handover, ensuring outstanding quality issues are identified, logged, and managed before release to commissioning or operations.
Skills and experience:
Minimum 12 years Quality Management experience within the oil and gas industry
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Must be proactive and possess good inter personnel skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proficient in English language
Educational experience:
Preferred degree bachelor’s in engineering
Professional Accreditation preferred
Successful completion of ISO 9001:2015 lead auditor training or transition course, preferred
