Job Description: Mechanical Design Engineer
Essential Skills
Bachelor of Science degree in a mechanically focused discipline.
Proficiency with SolidWorks 3D drafting for mechanical design and system layout.
Experience with AutoCAD for reviewing and working with P&ID and related drawings.
Ability to read, interpret, and produce mechanical and industrial technical prints and documents.
Strong engineering mathematics skills, including the ability to perform basic engineering calculations for system loading, pressure drops, and flow-related design parameters.
Self-motivated work style with the ability to manage tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with SolidWorks Routing for piping and tubing design is preferred.
Experience preparing Bills of Material for complex mechanical systems
Exposure system design, piping design, welding practices, and mechanical fabrication environments is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bartlett, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.
