Waste Connections is looking for a Yard Attendant to join our Barrie District team. Our top priority is hiring safety‑driven individuals who take pride in maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment while supporting essential services in the community.
As a Yard Attendant with us, the key responsibilities are:
Perform routine yard cleanup to maintain a safe and organized worksite
Assist with traffic control, directing vehicles safely within the yard
Sort and pick materials on the baler line
Prepare, maintain, and paint bins as required
Provide flexible, hands‑on support across the yard based on daily operational needs
Follow all safety procedures and site policies at all times
What You Bring to the Team as a Yard Attendant:
At least 1 year of general labour experience
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions for the duration of the shift
Ability to successfully pass criminal background and drug screening
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team‑oriented mindset
