Permanent, Full-Time

Waste Connections is looking for a Yard Attendant to join our Barrie District team. Our top priority is hiring safety‑driven individuals who take pride in maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment while supporting essential services in the community.

As a Yard Attendant with us, the key responsibilities are:

  • Perform routine yard cleanup to maintain a safe and organized worksite

  • Assist with traffic control, directing vehicles safely within the yard

  • Sort and pick materials on the baler line

  • Prepare, maintain, and paint bins as required

  • Provide flexible, hands‑on support across the yard based on daily operational needs

  • Follow all safety procedures and site policies at all times

What You Bring to the Team as a Yard Attendant:

  • At least 1 year of general labour experience

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly

  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions for the duration of the shift

  • Ability to successfully pass criminal background and drug screening

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team‑oriented mindset
