JOB SUMMARY:
The applicant will start in the rotating shift, entry level, Mill Utility/Sanitation position and will train in more advanced positions such as Loadout and Assistant Milling in order to be ready to move up when a position is available and to cover gaps.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
The primary position of this posted position consists of being responsible for proper equipment operations and mill sanitation with respect to Safety, Food Safety, and IPM.
Maintain our Safety and Food Safety Cultures through active participation
Support our Core Values through active participation
Train in different job functions around the plant and provide relief when needed
Routinely observes and reports to the department manager information she/he needs to ensure the preservation of the physical facility
Filling out documentation, both written and electronically
Lifting, pushing, and pulling 50+ pounds
Climbing ladders and working in elevated heights
Working in confined spaces
Working in dusty (must be able to wear a dust mask) and loud conditions
Working around moving equipment
Performing analytical tests to ensure the product is within specification
Performs other duties as assigned
Be at work, ready to work, on time and consistently
QUALIFICATIONS:
- H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
- Passionate about digging into a problem and figuring it out
- Self-directed, be able to work independently;
- Willingness to learn and take constructive criticism;
- Ability to stand for particularly sustained periods of time; frequent walking, reaching, pulling, stooping, lifting, pushing, grasping, climbing, and balancing.
- Ability to understand, remember, and apply instructions in English.
- Able and willing to work all three shifts, 7-day weeks, during holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Ability to apply common sense in performing job duties along with making decisions and communicating.
- Able to work around wheat dust
Important Considerations:
Stable job history, or newer to the workforce is a plus.
