Assistant Manager – Residential Services | Full-Time | Ocean County, NJ
Full-Time: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (flexibility based on program needs)
Base pay: $24.50/hour + shift differential & overtime eligibility

As an Assistant Group Home Manager, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations, guiding staff, and ensuring residents receive reliable, person-centered care.

As an Assistant Manager, you help bring this mission to life.
What You’ll Do
As an Assistant Manager, you will support the Residential Manager in the day-to-day operations of a residential program located in a supervised apartment setting by:
Leadership & Staff Support
Provide supervision and support to residential staff in the Manager’s absence
Facilitate regular supervision meetings with part-time staff
Assist with staff performance feedback, coaching, and development
Help coordinate staff schedules and required training assignments
Resident Support & Program Oversight
Support residents in developing daily living skills and promoting personal and social growth
Encourage participation in recreational, social, and structured daily activities
Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Habilitation Plans (IHPs)
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning discussions
Support the implementation of behavior support strategies and document progress
Safety, Health, and Regulatory Compliance
Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive residential environment within the apartment setting
Ensure residents receive appropriate medical, dental, pharmaceutical, and behavioral supports
Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation, records, and logs
Support compliance with all applicable state and agency regulations, including DDD, DHS, and DCF
Cooperate with inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews as required
Program & Administrative Support
Assist with monitoring household budgets and residential program expenses
Ensure required reports, documentation, and forms are completed accurately and on time
Communicate effectively with team members, families, and leadership as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the residential program

Requirements
What We’re Looking For
A minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting
High School Diploma or GED
Valid NJ Driver’s License with no more than five points
Strong leadership, reliability, and teamwork skills
Ability to supervise, support, and lead staff
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting/mobility assistance
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and adjust schedule to meet program needs
