Qualifications:
1) Minimum Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalency, no prior experience is required.
2) Special Knowledge/Skills:
Working knowledge of the proper methods of serving food and of the care of tableware, glassware, silver and kitchen appliances.
Working knowledge of cleaning methods and the use of cleaning supplies and appliances.
Ability to follow simple oral and written directions.
Physical strength and stamina.
Physical condition commensurate to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Reports To: Cafeteria Manager
Dept./School: Cafeteria
Wage/Hour: Minimum Wage/Hourly - 5.5 hours per day
Primary Purpose - Works under the direct supervision of Cafeteria Manager who checks work for conformance to instructions.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Assists in prepping, counting, panning up, washing food items for service.
Prepares simpler foods such as hot & cold sandwiches, salads, drinks and more.
Loads and serves food as assigned
Ability to do all kitchen dishes as needed
Clean kitchen space before and after use
Work as a cashier as needed
Follow all Health dept kitchen regulations as instructed
All cafeteria related duties as assigned.
Equipment Used: Equipment and utensils as required by job duties.
Working Conditions: Fast-paced food service environment.
