Your role and responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Specialist for the IBM Cloud Platform, you will manage and implement IBM Cloud-based infrastructure solutions according to established designs, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. You will collaborate with IT teams to implement and integrate IBM Cloud infrastructure solutions based on existing designs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Set up and Configure IBM Cloud Resources: Set up, configure, and manage IBM Cloud Virtual Servers, storage solutions, networking, and databases to support business applications. This includes implementing and overseeing IBM Cloud resources like Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Load Balancers, and Cloud Internet Services.

• Monitor and Troubleshoot Issues: Continuously monitor IBM Cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) configurations to ensure smooth operations.

• Apply Security Measures: Apply and enforce security measures to ensure IBM Cloud infrastructure complies with organizational policies and industry regulations.

• Optimize Costs: Optimize costs by right-sizing resources, developing cost-effective solutions, and monitoring usage.

• Automate Processes: Use automation tools like Terraform and Ansible to automate and streamline processes, and implement DevOps practices such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).

Required technical and professional expertise

As a Infrastructure Specialist, we are looking for candidates with the following background and skills:

• Excellent knowledge of Databases: Oracle(must have) and others.

• Installation, configuration, server administration, creation of scripts and automatic tasks, update.

• Excellent knowledge of various operating systems: Linux RHEL 8, Linux Centos, Unix in general.

• Knowledge of IBM WebSphere Application Server.

• Knowledge of IBM Business Automation Workflow.

• Knowledge of IBM Identity Verify Access.

• Knowledge of IBM Security Verify Governance.

• Knowledge of JasperReport Server.

• Knowledge of IBM Security Verify Directory.

• Experience as a System Administrator.

• Applies knowledge of Networking, Storage, Computer, Security Services.

• Understands SLA management, services health management and key metrics monitoring.

• Able to produce documentation for use by team and customer.

• Good level of English is required as the candidate will be working directly with the customer’s team

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred technical and professional experience

In particular, are very appreciated:

· Certifications in a DB platform (Oracle or others)
