Chevron Global Technology Services - Venezuela, located in Barcelona, Venezuela, is accepting online applications for the position of Internal Control Analyst. Successful candidates will join a team which oversees Petroindependencia joint venture, delivering financial services and solutions.
The Internal Control Analyst will be part of a team - Chevron and PDVSA’s employees- with focus on improving the controls of the processes of the Joint Ventures in a high-risk environment.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
• Perform reviews of the processes and controls related to creation of work tickets for services executed in the field and materials received at the warehouse.
• Execute forensic analysis to prevent fraud.
• Develop and submit analysis to the business with insights to improve contract clauses to reduce costs.
• Perform internal audits with focus on Finance, SCM and Legal for external audit preparation.
• Coordinate Account Payable and Account Receivables processes.
• Increase the capabilities of the team to perform at high level.
• Coordinate the monthly account reconciliation and perform spot control to ensure the reconciliation steps are made.
• Maintain and present the Internal Control Dashboard to Finance Manager.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor´s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics
• At least 3 years of experience dealing with contracts, financial matters, and process reviews.
• Very strong analytical and technical skills.
• Must be proficient in English.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a crossed-discipline and diverse environment.
• Teamwork and customer service focus.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Audit and Data Analytics experience is a plus.
• Experience with SAP, Smart and JDE.
• Joint Venture experience
• Open to work in the field for short periods of time, as needed.

Relocation may be considered.
