Brown-Forman HR Business Partner - Iberia - Maternity Cover in Barcelona, Spain

This is your chance to take on a dynamic and impactful role as part of the Iberia Leadership Team! As an HR Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the People strategy and agenda, working closely with the General Managers, Leadership Team members, and the Regional HR Director. Your expertise will help identify the current and future needs of the business, ensuring the local organization is set up for success.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of designing, adapting, and executing HR strategies while serving as the go-to partner for employees and line managers. From leading HR projects to providing strategic advisory and operational support, you’ll ensure seamless execution of HR processes in collaboration with business leaders and the cluster HR Director.This role will also entail operational work as part of the day to day job. Your work will directly contribute to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and compliance, all while staying true to Brown-Forman’s values.

As a key player in multi-disciplinary project teams, you’ll break down silos, encourage partnerships, and independently manage HR initiatives that make a real difference. This is a 12 month maternity cover.

What You Can Expect

  • Lead business-facing HR partner to support all HR and business initiatives.

  • Fosters a culture of teamwork and inclusion, promoting the shared understanding of B-F values and operating principles that align HR policies and practices to support the achievement of business goals.

  • Partners with Recruiting Team and business leaders in the recruitment and selection process, from job description development through Day 1 onboarding.

  • Provides counsel to employees and managers regarding questions or concerns related to compensation, employee relations, performance management, coaching, etc.

  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on the performance management process including coordinating performance/development plans.

  • Partners with the HR Director to support succession planning , organizational design and talent development.

  • Engages regularly with teams to create a positive and productive employee relations environment.

  • Handles sensitive employee relations issues to ensure proper process and follow-up actions are completed.

  • Leads organization and culture change initiatives to build operational agility, diversity management and leadership capability, acting as a change agent.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, with at least 2 year operating as an HR Business Partner or similar position, with demonstrated experience aligning HR initiatives to the business needs

  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable employment and labor laws

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (reading, writing, speaking, listening)

  • Demonstrated proficiency in standard office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and shared file management.

  • Working experience in Spain, Experience in global/matrix organizations

  • Experienced in working with Spanish Works Council

  • Excellent collaboration, communication, coaching, and influencing skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships throughout all levels and across cultures

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to develop creative strategies and problem-solving solutions based on evaluation of needs and clear deliverables

What Makes You Unique

  • HR certification: PHR, SPHR, CIPD, or similar

  • Experience working within an international company, operating across multiple countries and cultures
