Amazon Business Development Program Manager, Translation Services (Barcelona) in Barcelona, Spain

Description

Join our Translation Services Operations team as a “Business Development Program Manager” and strategically drive growth to Amazon´s localization services across all global businesses.

Key job responsibilities

Drawing on your localization, business development and project management expertise, you'll balance proactive planning with hands-on execution to deliver scalable, high-quality localization solutions.

Strategic Process Planning & Roadmap Development:

• Identify business growth opportunities for localization teams

• Develop customer-based project plans and workflows based on data analysis research

• Create roadmaps towards defined team KPIs

• Map and test cases for automation features

Project Management & Execution:

• Manage the full lifecycle of localization business development projects, working closely with internal business partners and other cross-functional departments

• Manage time, budget, resources, and quality control • Identify, communicate, and proactively mitigate project risks

• Own and generate projects documentation

Process Optimization & Quality Management:

• Maintain functionalities of cross-team processes and enhance potential automation

• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve questions or conflicts related to consolidation, terminology, language quality, and process workflow

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Create and analyze reports of localization data to identify patterns and derive insights

• Analyze data around workflows, quality, cost, turnaround time, and productivity

• Regularly update leadership with insights

Technical Tool Management

• Partner with content creators. CMS and Amazon Localization teams to onboard them to TSOps owned tooling

• Address knowledge gaps related to localization technology across relevant stakeholders

A day in the life

You will manage stakeholders across multiple functions, defining localization requirements for various media types, tools, and translation channels. You'll develop targeted business initiatives that optimize integration through data-driven insights and technological innovation. Your role combines strategic planning for localization programs, direct client engagement and relationship management, cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and content teams, and continuous improvement of translation workflows and processes.

Our team is spread across three countries, is highly skilled in localization program management, relies on continuous efficient communication and is built on solid collaboration. Basic Qualifications

  • Official bachelor’s degree: business growth, sales, operational efficiency, marketing, digital transformation

  • English proficiency: both written and spoken

  • Proven expertise in localization: ideally with localization project management

  • Proficiency in project management: planning, risk assessment, execution

  • Competence in data analysis for forecasting and decision-making

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strategic Thinking & Sales Acumen: ability to translate research insights into profitable business plans

  • Communication & Negotiation: ability to build partnerships with senior leadership and stakeholders across tech and non-tech teams

  • As a plus: AI acumen, TMS/CAT tools experience
