As a Bell Person , you will be the first and last point of contact for many of our guests, playing a key role in creating memorable arrival and departure experiences. About the Role
As a Bell Person at Grand Hyatt Barcelona , you are an ambassador of the Hyatt brand , responsible for providing a warm welcome and ensuring a smooth and seamless arrival and departure experience for our guests.
This is an operational full‑time position (40 hours per week) offered on a permanent contract , with rotating shifts according to hotel needs , including evenings, weekends, and public holidays . You will work closely with the Front Office, Concierge, and other hotel departments , contributing to efficient daily operations and a positive guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
The Bell Person supports guest arrivals, departures, and overall guest satisfaction in line with Hyatt brand standards and hotel procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Greeting guests promptly upon arrival with a friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor
Assisting guests with luggage during arrival, departure, and room changes
Escorting guests to their rooms when required, providing clear information about:
Hotel facilities and services
Restaurants and amenities
Safety procedures and general hotel information
Assisting guests with transportation arrangements, including taxis and other services
Maintaining cleanliness, order, and a welcoming appearance in the lobby, entrance, and driveway areas
Providing assistance to guests with special needs, ensuring comfort, safety, and satisfaction throughout their stay
Collaborating closely with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, and Security to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
Adhering strictly to all safety and security procedures to protect guests, colleagues, and hotel property
Safeguarding guest belongings and immediately reporting any suspicious activity
Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, representing the Hyatt brand with pride and integrity
Supporting other operational tasks as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel
Qualifications:
Qualifications & Requirements
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred but not required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a service‑oriented mindset
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
Physical stamina and ability to lift, carry, and transport luggage and other items safely
Fluency in Spanish and English ; additional languages are a strong plus
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to delivering exceptional guest service
