Commander, Navy Installations SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Bangor, Washington
Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OFFICE of COMMANDER, NAVY REGION NORTHWEST. Responsibilities You will conduct trend analyses or other financial data research to verify accuracy of data and reports. You will advise senior leaders on the allocation of financial resources for an organization and advise on financial strategies. You will supervise financial management personnel to meet changing workloads and projects. You will collaborate with other financial staff to ensure transactions and processes are consistent with policy, practices, laws, and regulations. You will serve as the senior leader and manager for budget, accounting, or financial management policy and procedures within the organization. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Working knowledge of PPBE (Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution) process and how it relates to financial management at the Echelon III level. Most importantly, more detailed knowledge of Budgeting and Execution is most prevalent for this position. Proficient use of all Microsoft applications - especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and ability to support executive-level communications both with local leadership and HHQ stakeholders. Experience with financial management systems/tools for purposes of reporting and analysis. General knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the life cycle of financial transactions and the life cycle of fiscal appropriations Knowledge and proficient use of appropriation law and financial regulations when applied to PPBE. Experience with support agreements and GT&C's (General Terms and Conditions). Supervisory and management experience within financial management organizations.
