Your role and responsibilities
As a Project Manager for Complex Projects, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of IBM's largest and most complex client commitments, ensuring the delivery of solutions for complex IT, business, and client requirements. You will lead a project team in delivering a solution to the client using the appropriate business measurements and terms and conditions for the project.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Manage Client Engagements: Lead a project team in delivering a solution to the client, ensuring overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables.
• Apply Strategic Thinking: Analyze business and IT challenges, apply strategic innovative thinking for insights, and develop strategies to address complex client requirements.
• Lead Complex Delivery: Manage all project resources, including subcontractors, and establish an effective communication plan with the project team and the client.
• Drive Risk Management: Apply risk management skills to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the project, ensuring successful delivery of the solution.
• Provide Executive-Level Guidance: Exhibit exceptional business insight, executive/boardroom presence, and outstanding judgment to advise on large or complex engagements.
Required technical and professional expertise
• Complex IT Project Management: Experience with managing large-scale, complex IT projects, ensuring delivery of solutions that meet client requirements and business objectives.
• Strategic Risk Management: Experience with applying risk management skills to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with complex projects, ensuring successful delivery of solutions.
• Business and IT Analysis: Experience with analyzing business and IT challenges, applying strategic innovative thinking for insights, and developing strategies to address complex client requirements.
• Contract Management: Experience with managing complex business outsourcing contracts, including contractual deliverables, terms, and conditions.
• Executive-Level Communication: Experience with providing executive-level guidance and advice on large or complex engagements, exhibiting exceptional business insight and outstanding judgment.
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Complex Deal Negotiation: Deep expertise in negotiating large and complex deals, with the ability to navigate intricate contractual terms and conditions. Proven track record of successfully closing deals that meet client needs and drive business growth.
• Global Program Management: Experience with managing large-scale programs with global scope, requiring coordination across multiple regions and stakeholders. Skilled in navigating cultural and geographical nuances to ensure seamless program delivery.
• Advanced Risk Management: Deep understanding of advanced risk management techniques, including the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate complex risks associated with large-scale projects. Proven expertise in developing and implementing effective risk management strategies.
