Position: Assistant Manager-Commercial Finance
Report to: Director, Commercial Finance Thailand & IndoChina
Work Location: Klongtoey, Colgate Head Office/ Monday to Thursday work at office, Friday WFH
About the Role: We are looking for an Assistant Manager - Commercial Finance to act as a strategic Business Partner to our Customer Development Department (Sales). In this role, you will go beyond the numbers—providing financial analysis & planning, actionable insights, and ROI analysis to drive sustainable and profitable growth for the company.
What You Will Do:
Customer P&L Analysis & Strategy: Continuously monitor and analyze Customer P&L. Provide financial leadership and actionable recommendations to the Customer Development (Sales) Team to ensure profitability objectives are met.
Revenue & Margin Optimization: Manage Gross-to-Net (GtN) processes and optimize promotional investments (Trade Spend) to maximize ROI and protect overall business margins.
Drive Net Sales Value (NSV): Partner with the Sales team to achieve and exceed targeted Net Sales Value (NSV) while strategically minimizing discounts, returns, and other profit leakages.
Financial Control & Compliance: Ensure the integrity of financial reporting, manage rebate accruals/settlements, and maintain compliance with corporate policies (US GAAP/SOX).
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Business Partnering (FMCG industry experience is highly preferred).
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
Technical Skills: Strong expertise in P&L management, GtN, budgeting, and ROI analysis. Advanced MS Excel skills (Financial modeling, scenario analysis).
Commercial Acumen: You understand market dynamics and how the business makes money, allowing you to offer proactive solutions rather than just reporting the past.
Communication & Influence: Excellent ability to translate complex financial data into clear narratives for non-finance stakeholders, with strong negotiation and collaboration skills.
