Honeywell Sr Finance Systems Analyst in Bangalore, India

As a Sr Finance Systems Analyst here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our financial systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial data and processes, supporting the finance team with system-related issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems and supporting the overall financial health of the company.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial operations by ensuring our financial systems are robust, reliable, and aligned with our business needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and provide training and support to end-users. Your work will directly contribute to the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting and decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coordinate and ensure execution of month end and year-end financial closing processes within SAP, HFM, Blackline for the respective regions.

  • Work with the SAP Strategy and Design team, Regional Finance Centers, and Businesses to resolve closing issues such as interface postings error handling, cost center/profit center allocations, reconciliation of the multiple Finance modules: FI, CO, Reconciliation Ledger, PCA, COPA, etc.

  • Continue to improve closing efficiency by evaluating, testing, and using better processes, tools, transactions, and reports.

  • Develop or enhance financial/business solutions; troubleshoot SAP production issues.

  • Work closely with cross functional ERP teams in support of SAP enhancements and deployments including execution of mock closings.

  • Work with the SBU finance teams and IT leadership to resolve functional and technical challenges.

  • Liaise with Corporate Finance regarding change of company policy, new initiatives such as new Chart of Accounts, fixed/variable costs reporting, etc.

  • Ensure timely cut-off of SAP ledger for feeding into HFM for consolidation.

  • Support Financial and SOX audit requests.

  • Work with the businesses, IT COE and other functional COEs to determine appropriate future direction for SAP functionality.

  • Review SAP access request, making sure SOD risk are properly mitigated.

  • Complete review of manual entries posted directly on SAP and work with users to avoid this practice.

Help with the integration and user acceptance testing of SAP configuration and process changes

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

  • 8 plus years of directly related Finance and Accounting experience.

  • 5 plus years SAP experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in the finance function.

  • Thorough knowledge of month end closing processes within SAP.

  • Experience in working in multi- divisional, multi-country and multi-currency environment.

  • Deep process/technical knowledge within SAP.

  • Solid understanding of business processes across SAP and how they impact data and processes in financial modules.

  • Proactive team member with ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, internally and externally, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to understand customer needs and to teach others.

  • Comfortable in working in fast paced, high energy environment as this is a heavy multi-tasking role.
