Honeywell Sr Advanced Project Engr in Bangalore, India
This role is responsible to drive the Air Transport Flight management systems product line and successfully rolling out new products & delivering the software to the customers.
Takes complete ownership across multiple functional areas of Flight Management System functions across different phases of NPI process –
Conversant in FCI development methodology
Own Burn down metrics, effort estimation, Resource allocation, Traceability Matrix
Mentor and coach teams to make them highly productive in program execution
Drive the team as integrated Product team cutting across all functional areas on cost, Schedule and Quality
Collaborating across multiple locations with cross-functional teams and internal / external stakeholders (Program Mgrs, SPEs, Product Mgrs, customers) to determine project objectives, remove impediments and ensure overall project success.
Working proactively to identify risks, dependencies and road blockers and escalating the issues to senior management on time. Track and remove impediments.
Strong understanding and hands on experience on FMS processes and tools.
Proven ability in providing thought leadership in overall project management, project planning, budgeting, resources deployment& utilization, budget forecast, cost estimations and risk identification & mitigation, reskilling track
Critical Targets to meet
Enable Revenue impact to top line of the business group ON time delivery for New product, & Product Sustenance. Schedule, Cost, and Effort Compliance, Phase gate compliance, 100% Milestone fidelity, no EAC over runs and continuous improvement of cycle time and productivity. Comply to all DO-178B/C process objectives and adhering to all program audits with Zero NCs.

Business and Financial Acumen : Thoroughly understands markets, finance and business needs. Can work with Engineering and Business leaders to drive NPD projects ROI impact.
Negotiation, Stakeholder Management : Proficient in negotiation and influencing in a global setup; presents the problem and solution eloquently to help arrive at stakeholder consensus
Core Competency: Program Management . Project Management, Risk and Claim management. Stakeholder Management, Client Engagement. Customer Relation Management, Budgeting & Cost Optimization, Data Analysis, SOW, Reliability and safety assurance.
Technical Skills : FMS Product knowledge, Microsoft Project, Kanban dashboard, Agile Project management, Jira, SAP, ETC Mgr, AET, RPT, MAT, IMS, AS9100, CMMI L4/L5, ESLOC estimation model.
Influencing : Great communicator, ability to influence teams, orienting them to be self-performing, and deliver exceptional business value
Problem Solving : Follows a structured problem solving approach; demonstrates agility and alacrity in execution and decisions
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate in Engineering, with 10+ Yrs. of experience
3+ yrs in product program management. Preferable: hands-on exposure
Proven track record of managing complex program and product deliveries creating incremental revenue impact as per the business case
3+ years working knowledge in FMS programs especially in ATR programs with thorough understanding of IPDS (2.0) Process steps
Good understanding on DO-178B/C process and its adherence to the project
