As a Senior Advanced Cyber Security Architect/Engineer at Honeywell, you will support and contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise cybersecurity solutions that protect critical systems and data. You will work hands‑on to help strengthen defenses against emerging threats, providing technical analysis and subject‑matter support to senior cybersecurity leaders. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to help integrate cybersecurity requirements into systems and initiatives, assist with research and evaluation of emerging technologies, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the cybersecurity program. You will support cybersecurity compliance and risk‑based initiatives aligned with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements. You will report into the Honeywell Global Security Compliance team and operate within a flexible, remote‑eligible work environment. Through your contributions, you will help safeguard the reliability, safety, and integrity of systems that power the modern world.
Support the coordination and execution of Honeywell’s enterprise‑wide programs, including ISO 27001 certification, NIS Directive compliance, PCI DSS, and SOC 2 audit requests, helping ensure a consistent and effective approach to managing cybersecurity risk, governance, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Provide subject matter support and technical input to the cybersecurity leadership team by assisting with customer inquiries related to contract reviews, external audits or assessments, cybersecurity projects, production support, and compliance consultations.
Assist in managing internal enterprise compliance attestations by helping evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of IT and cybersecurity controls, supporting documentation, evidence collection, and stakeholder coordination.
Contribute to the design and implementation of cybersecurity solutions by supporting analysis, requirements gathering, testing, and deployment efforts to help protect critical assets and information.
Perform security assessments and risk analyses under the guidance of senior leaders, identifying control gaps, documenting findings, and supporting the development of mitigation recommendations.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to help integrate cybersecurity and compliance requirements into the product and system development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with enterprise security standards.
Participate in incident response activities by providing analytical and technical support, assisting with investigation, documentation, and remediation efforts to help resolve security incidents in a timely manner.
4+ years of experience working in a cybersecurity, information security, IT risk, or compliance‑related role, supporting enterprise security programs and initiatives.
Working knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIS Directive, PCI DSS, SOC 2), with the ability to apply guidance under direction from senior cybersecurity leaders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings, support discussions, and explain technical concepts to internal stakeholders.
Demonstrated analytical and critical‑thinking skills to assist in evaluating complex security or compliance situations, identifying issues, and helping recommend effective solutions.
Ability to influence and collaborate without direct authority, working effectively with peers, cross‑functional teams, and stakeholders to support cybersecurity objectives.
WE VALUE
Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or another related field.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, ISO 27001 Certified Lead Auditor, CISM, or GIAC, are highly desirable.
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing cybersecurity teams.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
