Solutions Architect
Job Summary:
As a Solutions architect, you will lead the design of innovative AV system solutions tailored to meet our customers’ unique needs, fostering deep customer engagement throughout the process. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, translating their vision into technical solutions that enhance their operations and create value. By acting as a trusted advisor, you will not only design systems but also contribute to thought leadership by offering insights into emerging AV technologies and industry trends that can shape future customer strategies.
Description
· In this role, you will be a key player in supporting the Sales team during the quoting process and guiding the CAD team for accurate system designs. Your ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and engaging way will strengthen customer relationships, drive loyalty, and demonstrate your thought leadership in the AV industry. Your expertise will influence both immediate project success and the long-term technology strategies of your clients.
· Key Responsibilities:
o Collaborate with the sales team during customer site visits to conduct in-depth needs analyses, ensuring a deep understanding of customer objectives and challenges.
o Partner with customers to construct a Statement of Work (SOW) that not only meets technical requirements but also reflects a broader strategic vision for their AV needs, providing expert insights into system capabilities and industry trends.
o Lead the development of detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) that align with customer expectations, ensuring that solutions are designed with foresight and scalability in mind.
o Ensure continuous engagement with the customer throughout the project lifecycle, providing guidance on evolving technologies and best practices to enhance their long-term AV strategy.
o Act as a thought leader in customer meetings, presenting innovative AV solutions and industry trends that inspire confidence and showcase the organization’s expertise.
o Support the project handoff process by briefing the project manager and providing clear documentation that reflects the strategic intent behind the AV design.
o Provide technical expertise in bid processes, service contracts, and vendor evaluations, ensuring customers receive the best value and latest technology insights.
o Maintain prompt and effective communication with customers, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and positioning yourself as a trusted partner for future projects.
· Education and Experience Requirements:
o CTS (minimum requirement) CTS-D (preferred)
o 8+ years’ experience in a customer-facing AV technical role
o Proficiency in reading AutoCAD and AV Architectural drawings
o Strong understanding of network infrastructure and system integration
o Extensive knowledge of AV control, switching systems, and DSP conferencing best practices
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer engagement and relationship building
o Ability to diagnose complex system issues and provide innovative, customer-centric solutions
o Ability to design Unified Communications (UC) solutions incorporating platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and similar technologies.
o Expertise in conveying technical solutions in a way that enhances customer understanding and positions the organization as an industry thought leader
o Ability to think and work independently and meet necessary deadlines
o Effective interaction with employees, customers, and colleagues
o Attention to detail
o Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
o Working knowledge of network infrastructure including setting up LAN’s
o Proficient in MS Office, MS Excel, and general PC based applications
o Ability to read construction drawings and system wiring diagrams
o Ability to diagnose complex system problems
o Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
o Ability to effectively interact with field personnel, management, and customers
o Occasional after hours and/or travel may be required
