The Identity & Access Management (IAM) Protect team within the CISO organization is seeking a motivated Security Software Engineer to join our Identity Operations team.
This role focuses on analyzing incident and ticket trends, building secure, scalable automation solutions, and providing technical leadership to the team.
You will work closely with Engineering & Product teams to design and deliver security‑compliant automation using Azure services, scripting, and AI‑assisted tooling.
Responsibilities
Contribute to Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud‑based applications and services, with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure.
Implement secure, reliable, and scalable solutions following Microsoft engineering, security, and compliance standards.
Build automation services using but not limited to Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, and PowerShell‑based scripting to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
Contribute to improving team processes, documentation, and engineering quality.
Act as Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation.
Gain knowledge by contributing to the Security Operations Engineering tickets as and when needed and also support them when needed.
Develop new AI-based solutions with potential to helps customers and also that helps prevent tickets.
Qualifications
4+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong experience in cloud‑based development, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
Monitoring / Alerting / Automation solutions for Live Site.
Hands‑on experience with:
Azure Functions
Azure Logic Apps
PowerShell scripting for automation
Azure CLI
Entra ID
Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: data structures, debugging, testing, and maintainable code.
Ability to work effectively as a team player in a collaborative engineering environment.
Preferred Qualification
Experience/familiarity with application and system monitoring systems
Experience in Identity & Access Management domain.
Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Working on knowledge of Entra ID, Conditional Access, Azure Policies, PIM
Experience using Federated Identity Credentials (FIC) or modern cloud identity patterns.
Background in automation‑focused engineering (operational automation, CI/CD, reliability improvements).
Exposure to AI‑assisted development or automation, including intelligent workflows or chat‑based tooling.
