Labcorp Senior Software Engineer - Ruby on Rails in Bangalore, India
Labcorp is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails resource to join our team at Bengaluru, India Office.
Work Schedule
Candidates are required to follow the work schedule from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST .
Job Responsibilities
Hands-on development of technical projects.
Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ensure application performance, security, and scalability.
Troubleshoot and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and production issues.
Adopt DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployment.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
5-7 years relevant experience in custom embedded product development.
Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails, including designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web
applications using object-oriented programming principles.
Deep understanding of Rails architecture, RESTful APIs, MVC design patterns, and application performance optimization.
Working knowledge of database design and development, preferably with MS SQL Express or similar relational databases.
Experience with cloud-based architectures and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Proficiency in Git-based version control systems and experience working in Agile development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
Working Knowledge of Android OS.
Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
Prior experience in scaling enterprise-level applications.
ISO, FDA or other regulated industry training and experience desired.
