The Opportunity
We are seeking a Data Program Manager to lead and deliver enterprise-wide data initiatives that enable high-quality, trusted, and governed data across the organization. This role will be responsible for defining data program strategy, driving execution across multiple workstreams, and partnering with business and technology stakeholders to ensure data programs deliver measurable business value.
About the Team
Join Nutanix’s SaaS Engineering team, a small, collaborative group across the U.S. and India. Reporting to the Director of PM, you’ll work in a flexible hybrid model (3 days in-office) with minimal travel, leveraging modern tools to stay connected, drive results, and thrive in an inclusive, supportive culture focused on collaboration and innovation.
Your Role
- Program Leadership and Strategy
Lead enterprise data strategy, defining the vision and roadmap across governance, quality, analytics, and platforms.
Drive business-aligned outcomes by translating priorities into scalable, measurable programs and communicating value to executives.
2. Data Governance
Lead enterprise data governance, ensuring trusted, secure, and compliant data across the organization.
Drive accountability and business alignment by establishing stewardship frameworks and linking governance practices to measurable outcomes.
3. Data Quality & Management Initiatives - Drive enterprise data quality by establishing programs, tracking KPIs, and partnering across business and technology to ensure trusted, actionable data.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with business, IT, analytics, and engineering teams to understand data needs and challenges.
Bridge business and technical stakeholders to align data strategy, delivery, and outcomes.
Drive adoption of data programs through workshops, training, and change leadership.
5. Program & Project Management - Lead and govern complex data programs, delivering on-time, on-budget results while managing risks, dependencies, and executive reporting to drive strategic business outcomes.
6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation - Drive enterprise data excellence by modernizing tools, optimizing processes, and fostering a data-driven culture focused on quality, accountability, and measurable business impact
What You Will Bring
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Experience
7+ years experience in data management and governance, leading large-scale, cross- functional initiatives and collaborating with both business and technical teams.
Expert in data governance, quality, and lifecycle management with a Bachelor’s in Information Systems, CS, Data Management, or related field.
Skills
Expert in data management, governance, and quality, with hands-on experience in SQL, Tableau, data modelling, and database management.
Proven project leader, delivering successful initiatives through strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communicator and influencer, driving cross-functional collaboration and organizational change
Competencies
Leadership & Strategy - Drive teams, shape strategy, and lead organizational change with a business-focused mindset.
Customer & Technical Excellence - Deliver results with strong client focus, attention to detail, and proficiency in key tools and technologies.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
