As Quality Engineering team, we bridge the gap between innovation and reliability by managing the entire product lifecycle from NPI through to mass production and field deployment. We define rigorous quality standards, establish Six Sigma goals, and perform deep-dive failure analyses to mitigate risks before they reach the customer. Our team actively monitors factory yields and investigates RMAs to drive continuous improvement across all production lines. By serving as the steadfast "Voice of the Customer," we resolve complex escalations and utilize data-driven insights to predict and prevent future issues. Ultimately, we ensure every product we deliver consistently meets the highest benchmarks for quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Your Impact

As a Product Quality Engineer (PQE), you are a recognized expert within Cisco, performing complex quality engineering tasks using specialized domain knowledge. You will drive cross-functional engagement across Business Units (BU), Manufacturing (MFG), Product Operations, and Customer Experience (CX) to ensure our customers receive products of the highest quality, consistent with Cisco’s brand. This role requires a senior quality engineer who can operate with minimal supervision, lead early design engagements and own the end-to-end investigation and resolution of complex quality issues.

  • NPI & Design Engagement: Lead or co-lead early design engagement for Cisco Hardware products, ensuring quality and reliability requirements are integrated from the start of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.

  • End-to-End Issue Management: Own the investigation, containment, and corrective action of quality issues from inception to resolution, ensuring robust root cause analysis.

  • Strategic Thinking & Innovation: Proactively identify and resolve complex problems impacting a single or set of products’ quality. Develop and deliver innovative approaches and lead major projects that contribute to the Quality Organisations objectives.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive engagement across multiple teams (BU, MFG, Prod Ops, CX, etc.) and lead complex, cross-functional quality projects that will impact the business and scope beyond of assigned products.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use sophisticated analytical thought and advanced statistical analysis to design process, product, and service improvements.

  • QMS & Standards Proficiency: Apply expert knowledge of industrial quality standards and the Quality Management System (QMS) to solve problems impacting the organisation and assigned products.

  • Communication & Storytelling: Communicate complex ideas and strategies persuasively to senior-level stakeholders, anticipating objections and using data-driven storytelling to influence outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

You are a strategic problem-solver with a proven track record of leading high-impact quality initiatives in a complex, diverse environment.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Electronics Engineering with Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality/Electronics Hardware product design

  • Extensive experience in Product Quality Engineering, recognised as an expert within the field.

  • Expert Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of product architecture and product-level failure mechanisms.

  • Advanced Analytics: Ability to apply statistics and other advanced analytics to identify innovative solutions based on industry trends and business needs.

  • Risk Management: Ability to develop and lead cross-functional risk mitigation projects.

Preferred Qualifications :

Proven experience leading multiple projects and acting as a team leader in cross-functional environments.

Strategic Acumen: Ability to understand the upstream and downstream impact of changes and recommend improvements for quality issues.

Certification (Optional): Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification or equivalent knowledge is preferred.

Leadership & Influence: Strong influencing and collaboration skills; able to lead large teams and drive change management activities.
