Vontier Power BI Visualization Engineer in Bangalore, India
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Apply data visualization principles and techniques to create engaging and user-friendly visuals.
• Use DAX, M, Python, and SQL to manipulate and transform data from various sources and formats.
• Optimize the performance and usability of the Power BI solutions.
• Document and maintain the Power BI solutions and the data sources.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in Power BI and data visualization.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Power BI development and data visualization.
• Strong knowledge and skills in Power BI data modeling, DAX, M query, and Power Query.
• Experience with Power BI Direct Query: Must have strong proficiency in working with Direct Query mode in Power BI, including the ability to optimize query performance, integrate large datasets from external sources in real-time, and ensure accurate data modeling for dynamic reporting.
• Experience in connecting and integrating Power BI with various data sources, such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Azure, Excel, SharePoint, etc.
• Experience in creating and publishing Power BI reports and dashboards to Power BI service and Power BI Report Server.
• Familiarity with finance, procurement, and manufacturing processes, including budgeting, cost management, and supply chain optimization, to support business efficiency and strategic decision-making is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Power BI certification is a plus.
