IBM Package Specialist-Workday Testing in Bangalore, India

Your role and responsibilities

As a Package Specialist: Workday Testing, you will assist clients in strategizing, planning, controlling, and executing the testing of Workday and aligned SaaS deployments. You will utilize your consulting skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively support client teams in achieving expected business results. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Test Planning and Execution: Perform test planning, testing, and triage of defects to ensure the quality of deployed work products. • Client Collaboration: Work with client teams and the Workday Deployment and Support team to gather requirements, configure, unit test, and manage releases. • Test Management: Set up and use test management tools and test automation tools, both proprietary and open-source, to support testing activities. • Solution Delivery: Apply knowledge of HCM processes and Workday functional skills to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client requirements. • Defect Resolution: Collaborate with teams to identify and resolve defects, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Exposure to Workday Testing: Experience with testing of Workday and aligned SaaS deployments, including test planning, testing, and triage of defects. • HCM Process Knowledge: Understanding of HCM processes, with experience in one or more specializations, such as Workday functional skills in the HCM domain. • Test Management Tools: Experience with setting up and using test management tools and test automation tools, both proprietary and open-source. • Workday Functional Skills: Experience with Workday functional skills in the HCM domain, with certification preferred. • Client Requirements Analysis: Experience working with client teams to gather requirements, configure, unit test, and manage releases.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Workday Certification: Holding a Workday certification is beneficial for this role, demonstrating expertise in Workday functional skills in the HCM domain. • Specialized HCM Knowledge: Experience with one or more specializations in HCM processes, such as Workday functional skills in the HCM domain, is advantageous for delivering high-quality solutions. • Proprietary Test Tools: Familiarity with proprietary test management and automation tools can be valuable in supporting testing activities.
