IBM Network Support Engineer in Bangalore, India
Introduction
We are looking for a Network Support Engineer with strong experience in managing NOC operations, troubleshooting WAN/LAN issues, and supporting firewalls and routing infrastructure. The role involves handling incident tickets, monitoring network performance, and ensuring smooth IT service operations.
Your role and responsibilities
Monitor and troubleshoot WAN, LAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi networks.
Manage and resolve L1/L2 tickets within SLAs in a NOC environment.
Perform routing/switching troubleshooting (OSPF, BGP, VLANs).
Support firewall configurations, VPNs, and security policies.
Coordinate with ISPs, vendors, and internal teams for issue resolution.
Maintain documentation, logs, and knowledge base updates.
Required technical and professional expertise
3+ years of hands-on NOC/network support experience.
Strong knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls. (PaloAlto/ Cisco)
Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, etc.).
Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems.
Good communication and analytical skills.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA, Network+.
Experience with SD-WAN or cloud networking.
