Job Description:
Perform Mechanical Engineering activities on product development\product extensions\product maintenance of for Electro-mechanical / Mechanical products
Working knowledge on Warehouse Automation Products preferred.
Work with NPI Design Team, 3D modeling in Solid works, create detailed drawings as per standards.
Creating Change orders, ERP BOM changes In oracle , BOM uploads, Routing, Excel Uploads and automation .
Implementing the ECRO, Redline Markups with all the necessary approvals.
Co-ordination with cross functional teams & Follow-up with Project Leads, Design Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers on day to day project activities.
Responsible and Accountable for Quality of Drawings
Good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and exposure to mechanical and electrical parts modeling and detailing
Good working Knowledge expertise in Solid works, Teamcenter PLM, Parts management, BOM, EBOM, MBOM, Workflows and troubleshooting essential.
Hands on Experience in Oracle, ERP process
Ability to understand design intent, mechanical and Electrical part design and applications,
Good knowledge and Hands on experience in application of GD&T,
Good knowledge of Drafting Standards, ASME 14 series, DIN, BSS, ISO.
Have an Good knowledge in NPI / Product Development Life Cycle and Product Design skills with problem solving and analytical capability
Have an working experience is Product Sustenance, Product Extensions \ Product Modification engineering activities.
Fundamental knowledge of mechanical Engineering, Experience in GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis. Good knowledge in Drafting Standards especially ASME 14.5M
Have understanding on Different Manufacturing Processes like Metal Parts Machining, Casting, sheet metal process, Plastic Injection Molding, Joining methodologies (crimpling, welding, brazing, soldering), potting.
Expertise in 3D modeling and parametric detailing, family tables. Expertise in using CAD package SolidWorks® & Teamcenter.
Experience analyzing and selecting materials (metal & Plastic Parts) & finishes for optimizing design parameters.
Experience in Six Sigma methodology and statistical analysis and proven track record applying this in prior designs will be an added advantage.
Experience on Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFM), & Design to Cost
Must have experience to Engineering change Request and Engineering change order implementation
Ability to understand different mechanical and Electrical part design and applications, to support the design team
Demonstrates Good oral and written communication skills. Interacts with project team members and peers to anticipate and resolve day to day issues.
Fundamental knowledge of Electrical Engineering and understanding of the electrical parts, is an added advantage/skill set
Knowledge on Material handling equipment design would be added advantage
Should be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional global team.
QUALIFICATION: B.E in Mechanical
EXPERIENCE: 4-6 years minimum
